Love and Care Menglembu

Caring for Our Elders with Love and Dignity

Persatuan Kebajikan “Love and Care”, Menglembu, Perak is one of the social concern and care ministries under the Lutheran Church in Malaysia. Established in 2002 through the dedicated efforts of Grace Lutheran Church, Menglembu, the home began in a humble parsonage beside the church—offering basic facilities but a big heart for service.

From the very beginning, our mission has been clear: to provide care and comfort for senior citizens in the local community, regardless of race or religion. Beyond offering shelter, food, and daily necessities, we strive to create a warm, healthy, and joyful environment that nurtures both body and spirit. Our desire is for every resident to live their golden years with dignity, peace, and a sense of belonging.

Festive seasons are always special at our home. We celebrate together, bringing cheer and togetherness to our residents. Outings and outdoor activities are also part of our routine—keeping spirits high and hearts young.

Today, our home is fully occupied with 25 residents (17 males and 8 females). Our oldest member is a remarkable 94-year-old lady who has called this home for more than a decade. The home is lovingly managed by a dedicated team of five full-time staff—a supervisor, a cook, a driver, and two caregivers. With our own van and full-time driver, we ensure that residents receive timely medical care and transportation whenever needed.

As a registered non-profit organisation under the Registrar of Societies and the Social Welfare Department, we are deeply grateful for the continued generosity of the public—especially the local community in Menglembu. Your kind donations, both in cash and kind, have sustained our operations and allowed us to keep improving our facilities. Occasionally, we organise food fairs and fundraising activities to support maintenance and upgrades.

Your support makes all the difference. Together, we can continue to bring love, care, and hope to our elderly residents—reminding them that they are never forgotten.
