The Church Calendar 2018
The "church year" is a calendar mapping out all the greater and
lesser festivals of the church within the different "seasons" of the year.
Each season is color-coded, the color conveying significance and meaning.
These colors, called "liturgical colors" are reflected in the altar paraments
- the cloth hanging down the front of the altar, from the lectern and pulpit.
The banners hanging on the wall on either
side will also be the same liturgical color, as will the pastor's stole.
